Constance 'Connie' Marie (Wilson) Gronau

Constance 'Connie' Marie (Wilson) Gronau, 69 of Auburn passed away, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.

  She was a life resident of Auburn, the daughter of the late Hurley and Alice (Tanner) Wilson Sr.  'Connie' as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was a longtime health aide, working for many years at the former Kalet's Home For Adults. She also, previously worked as a waitress at Hunter's Restaurant and for Elder's Choice. Connie loved people and enjoyed the countless times she was able to share with her family and friends.  Her larger-than-life, humorous personality, infectious smile and charismatic ways, will truly never be duplicated and will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be sadly missed.

  She is survived by her loving son, Donnie Gronau, granddaughter Neena Gronau, brother Hurley Wilson Jr., niece Renee Wilson, nephew Eric Wilson, Mark Myers as well as several cousins and friends, especially Angel, Renee, Kristie and Darien and her beloved feline friend, Midnight.

  In addition to her parents,, she was also predeceased by the love of her life, Walker 'Pete' Williams.

   A calling hour for family and friends will be held this Friday evening from 5 to 6 pm in the Pettigrass Funeral Home, with a service to immediately follow at 6:00pm, all inside of the funeral home, 196 Genesee St.,Auburn.
