Melissa S. Kulis

Melissa S. Kulis, 55 of Auburn passed away, peacefully April 12, 2024 at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.

  She was born in Auburn, the daughter of Timothy Stevens and the late Donna Deyo and resided most of her life in the Auburn area. Melissa graduated from Auburn High School, Class of 1986. She previously worked for FOX Honda for more than 10 years and more recently was hired as a personal assistant for authors, until her recent illness.  Melissa enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and was an avid reader. Above everything, she loved and cherished her family. Melissa had one of the BIGGEST hearts and was willing and wanting to help anyone. She will be sadly missed.

  She is survived by her loving children, daughter Kassandra Kulis, son Matthew Kulis, longtime companion and best friend, Joseph Beniamino, the father of her children, David Kulis, a brother,  several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

  She was predeceased by her very loving and dear mother, Donna (Adams) Deyo and Grandmother Shirley Adams. 

  Calling hours are this Friday, April 19th from 4 to 7 pm in the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St.,Auburn. A celebration of her life will follow at the Knights of Columbus on Market Street.
