AUBURN - Angela M. (Mucedola) Wilcox, 67 of Auburn passed away unexpectedly Tuesday May 21, 2019 at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret DeLuca Mucedola and had been a life resident.
Angela graduated with a Master's degree in Education from SUNY Brockport. She taught as an elementary teacher for many years in several school districts including Auburn, Weedsport, Union Springs, Port Byron and more recently Skaneateles. She was beloved by her students, colleagues and had numerous friends. Angela was most happy and cherished the times she spent with her grandsons. She will be especially missed by her best friend and daughter Andra. Angela's beautiful smile and caring ways will always be remembered and truly never forgotten.
She is survived by her loving daughter Andra (Steve) Case of Union Springs, two grandsons Stephen and Andrew Case, sister Peggy (Jim) Spano of Skaneateles, brother Anthony (Stephen) Mucedola of Baldwinsville, brother-in-law Matthew Mattie of Sennett, Andra's father James Wilcox, several nieces, nephews, cousins and especially her closest nieces Jamisan Spano, Celia Mattie and nephew little Jim Spano.
In addition to her parents, Angela was predeceased by her sister Alicia Mattie in 2017.
Friends are invited to join the family Friday, July 19th at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church for Angela's memorial Mass of Christian burial.
