Beatrice "Topsy" Taylor, 82 of Auburn passed away peacefully Sunday at the Matthew House.
"Topsy" as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Thomas and Christine Becker Juber. She was a very talented artist but most of all an accomplished mother of seven and grandmother to twenty - two. Her most favorite and cherished times were those spent with her family. She led a simple but beautiful life and will be sadly missed by all who we're fortunate enough to get to know this special woman. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, endurance and determination. Survivors: seven children, Pam (Don) Perry, Robert Taylor Jr.,Gregory Taylor, Kelly (Robert) Chuff, Randy Taylor, Jeffrey (Amy) Taylor, Nicole (Corey) Taylor, 22 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Robert Sr. In 1987, a twin brother Thomas R. Juber Jr., sisters Thomasina Russella King, Christine Beaudry, Bernice Podeswik and Theresa Pettit. Calling hours are this Thursday from 5 to 7 pm in Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St.,Auburn. A service will be held Friday morning for family and friends at 11:00 am in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Mausoleum in Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr.,Auburn,NY 13021, Matthew House or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
