Ellen L. White

Ellen L. (Burroughs) White, 68, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 10, 2018 at Auburn Rehabilitation Center .

She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Noble Burroughs and was an area resident for most of her life. She previously was employed by Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center as a nurse's aide and retired as an activities director at Harbor Health Care in Maryland. Ellen enjoyed the simpler things in life, like being in the comfort of her home, watching "old" movies or a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game. She also liked creating new items through needlepoint. Ellen's most cherished and happiest times were those spent with her family. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Jolie) White of Aurora, Timothy (Olivia) White of Maryland, Michelle Foley (Peter O' Connor) of Auburn; six grandchildren, Elizabeth and Becky White, Ariel Serrano-Garcia, Zach Foley, Stormie Rotsolk, Aidan Foley; three sisters, Sharon Sherman, Susan (Larry) Radcliffe, Cathy Harrington as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by her husband Richard C. White, stepfather Minard and sister, Peggy McArtha.

There are no calling hours or services at this time.

A burial will be held at a future date in the spring.
