PALM BAY, Fla. | Gerald “Jerry” F. Lentini, 71, of Palm Bay, Fla., and formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.
He was born in Auburn, the son of the late Frank and A. Emma Cronk Lentini. Jerry was a West High School graduate, class of 1966. He was a master woodworker, craft fully building numerous items. Jerry also enjoyed running remote controlled airplanes and enjoyed spending time with his beloved canine companion, Cinders, and favorite Macaw, Magoo.
He is survived by his loving sister, Shirley Tillinghast, of Auburn; a niece, and several cousins. Jerry is also survived by a sister-in-law, Nancy Sweeney; a brother; brother-in-law, Rodney Richardson; as well as several nieces and nephews on his wife’s side of the family.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Patti Sweeney Lentini in 2012, and two sisters, Peggy Richardson and Mary Ann Sweeney.
A celebration of both Jerry and Patti’s lives will be held with calling hours from 1 to 3 p.m. this Sunday afternoon at Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn, and with a service to immediately follow at 3 p.m. to honor both of their lives. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
