AUBURN — Kathleen T. Meyer, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2018 with her family by her side. Kathleen was born on Feb. 13, 1948 in Fremont, Ohio.
She graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University and received her master’s in teaching from Elmira College. Kathleen taught high school English for the Port Byron School district for more than 30 years. She was the yearbook advisor as well for most of her career. The students and faculty gave her a fulfilling career. After retirement she enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with her family.
Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Richard Meyer; her sons, Paul Meyer (Sveta), of Pittsford, and Scott Meyer, of Auburn; daughter, Kimberly Foster (Michael), of Sennett. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Kaleb, Karlee, and Morgan, whom she loved dearly; her special sisters-in-law, Gail Kuriger, and PJ Meyer; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Doris and George Tompson; brother, Dennis Tompson; and her daughter, Jennifer.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, in Soule Cemetery.
