Kimberly A. Walawender, 35 of Auburn passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late David and Denise (Losani) Walawender, and had been a lifelong area resident. Kim enjoyed fishing and gardening. She also was a very talented painter and loved to work with arts and crafts. Kim cherished the times spent with her family and especially loved her four legged canine companion Brody.
She is survived by her two loving sisters, Kara and Cheryl Walawender, both of Auburn, two nieces, Meghan Currier and Hayley Clark, a nephew, Elliot Nightengale, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. In keeping with her generous and caring spirit, Kim’s organs were donated so that others may live.
Calling hours are this Saturday afternoon from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St. Services will immediately follow the calling hours at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Vasyl Colopelnic. Burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family at a later date.
