AUBURN | Michelle A. Vivenzio, 59, of Auburn, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, Aug. 17, 2018, at Auburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, after a long and debilitating battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Katherine Tabone Vivenzio, and had been an area resident for most of her life. Michelle graduated from Auburn High School class of 1977 and also BOCES, with a degree in nursing. Michelle would be employed for several years a LPN at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center, before her sickness forced her to retire. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing cards with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her loving twin daughters, Katherine and Amanda Vivenzio, of Auburn; sister, Mary Jo Vivenzio, of Solvay; two brothers, Joseph A. Vivenzio Jr. and Anthony Vivenzio Sr., both of Syracuse; step-mother, Jonell Vivenzio, of Liverpool; two nephews, Anthony Vivenzio Jr. and Nicholas Vivenzio; as well as several other relatives and friends.
Michelle was predeceased by her loving feline friend, Phoebe.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Friday at the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn. Services will immediately follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Louis Vasile. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
