Auburn – Norma Rumpf Mason, 96, of Owasco, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at her home.
Norma was employed at Ginsberg Dress Factory, Springside Inn, and was proprietor of Mason’s Liquor Store. She was very involved in her community, volunteering for several organizations throughout the years. Above this, her love and devotion to her family was her greatest passion. She loved adventures and had a wonderful sense of humor, providing us with laughs to last a life time.
Norma is survived by five children: Jackie (Mike) Southard, Dana Mason, Wayne (Angela Criazzo) Mason, Gary (Theresa) Mason, Kristin (Ron Dean) Belz, and six grandchildren Ryan Southard, Scott (Laura) Southard, Christopher (Amy Bolognino) Mason, Tate (Nicholas Johnston) Mason, Sarah Belz, Tyler Mason, and her sister, Marilyn (Edwin) Hopkins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the aides that helped care for Norma. Their care and devotion is greatly appreciated.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jay D Mason, and her siblings: Robert (Rita) Rumpf, Donald Rumpf, Joan (Robert) Weins, Kenny (Clara) Rumpf, and Dicky Rumpf.
Calling hours are from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27 at Pettigrass Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Norma may make donations to Owasco Fire Department, Hospice of the Finger Lakes, or Sacred Heart Church.
