AUBURN | Rev. Kenneth D. Sullivan, 77, of Stryker Homes, Auburn, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, May 20, 2019, at The Commons on St. Anthony with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Hillsgrove, Pa., the son of the late Norman and Margaret Boyles Sullivan and had resided most of his life in the Auburn area. He was an ordained minister for more than 44 years, with most of his ministry at the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Auburn. Rev. Kenneth was a former chaplain for the Auburn Fire Department for several years. He also was the church camp cook for more than 31 years. Some of Ken’s passions included painting, woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He cherished and was most blessed to enjoy the times spent with his family, whom he loved so dearly. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lois Baumgardner, of Auburn; two children: daughter, Cathy (Shawn) Davis, and son, Kevin (Charlene) Sullivan, all of Auburn; three grandchildren, Dalton Davis, and Cadence and Keegan Sullivan; brother, Ronald Sullivan, of Pennsylvania; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was predeceased by two sisters, Martha Hubbard, and Catherine Smith, and five brothers, Leo, Marvin, Alvah, Robert, and Richard Sullivan.
Calling hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn. A semi-private memorial service will follow at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, in the Auburn Church of Christ in Christian Union for Kenneth’s closest friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
