Albert Blaisdell Obituary

Albert L. Blaisdell, 83 of Auburn passed away peacefully at his home on February 15, 2024, with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Auburn, the son of the late Albert and Jane (Davis) Blaisdell and was an area lifelong resident. Al attended Union Springs Central High School and retired from RIST in Phelps in 2003 after many years as a truck driver. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was cruising on his motorcycle or taking a boat or jet ski ride, Al could be found having some sort of fun with his family. Al was also a very skilled mechanic working on several vehicles for his family and friends, or just about anything that needed fixing. Al cherished the many special times with his family and will be sadly missed by all of them.

He is survived by his six loving children, Kim Emery, Jeffery (Kimberly) Blaisdell, Kelly (Charles) Ringwood, Marcia Blaisdell and significant other David Speanburgh, Jesse (Marcia) Blaisdell, Holly (Jeffrey) Kline, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, three siblings, Clifton (Mary) Blaisdell, Shirley (Richard) Short, Jule White as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Al was also predeceased by his wife Mary (Withers) in 2014, a son Albert Jr., three grandchildren, April Ringwood, Jenna Blaisdell, Travis Backs and three sisters, Nancy Withers, Loretta Graham and Sharon Philo.

There are no services at this time.

A celebration of Al's life and burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Port Byron will take place in the spring.
