Andrew Komanecky Obituary

ANDREW WILLIAM KOMANECKY

Andrew W. Komanecky, 60, of North Hollywood, California, passed away on October 1, 2025, after a brief illness at Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California. He was born in Auburn, March 25, 1965.

He is survived by his mother, Joan; siblings Cindy (Jon) Robeson, Amy, and Billy, godfather Stephen Komanecky, and a big extended family of nephews, a niece, aunts, uncles, cousins and dearest friends Harlan Spector and John Chayka. He was predeceased by his father, William and godmother, Karlene Barski.

From an early age, Andrew had a gift for drawing and playing the guitar. Music became a defining part of his life, sparking a deep passion that would take his creative journey to the west coast. He performed alongside countless musicians in and around Los Angeles and beyond. Andrew was a successful songwriter; a band member of Atomic Boy and band leader of the Double Naught Spies and he created soundtrack work for various TV shows produced by Saban. Andrew will be remembered for his quick wit, sharp humor, and his big personality, leaving an impression everywhere he went. He was a devoted fan of The Beatles, the NY Mets, and had a great appreciation for motorcycles and classic cars. He will be forever missed and loved. As a last gesture of love, Andrew donated a valve from his heart, helping to enhance the lives of multiple individuals.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart Fund or Perform4 Purpose.org. A celebration of life with the sounds of his favorite music, will be held November 8th at 221 State Street from 4-8 p.m.
