AUBURN | Anthony E. D’Angelo, 66, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, March 4, 2019, at Auburn Community Hospital.
He was a life resident of Auburn, the son of the late Anthony and Stephanie Killian D’Angelo. Tony graduated from Mt. Carmel, class of 1970. He worked for several years at the former Colombian Rope Company and would retire after more than 30 years of service for NUCOR Steel. Tony was an avid sports enthusiast, with a strong passion for his two favorite teams, the New York Yankees and Arizona Cardinals. Tony led a fairly simple, private life, enjoying the comforts of his home with his two favorite people - his wife, Cindy, and son, Brian. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cindy Chalker D’Angelo, and son, Brian D’Angelo, both of Auburn; a brother, John and his wife, Sandy D’Angelo; as well as several other relatives and friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday in Sacred Heart Church for Anthony’s Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. this Friday at Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.
