Barbara J. (Jett) Lilly

Barbara J. (Jett) Lilly, 85 of Auburn passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Auburn Community Hospital, with her loving family at her side.

   She was born in Wyco, West Virginia , the daughter of the late Joseph and Meta Grace (McGrady) Jett and resided in the area most of her life.  Barbara worked various jobs in her earlier years, including General Electric, Sennett Auto and more recently as a bookkeeper for the family-owned Lilly Plumbing.  Barb was an excellent cook and loved being around people. She was most happy the times spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family members. Barb cherished all the special memories with each of them and will be sadly missed by all who got to know this special woman.

  She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 65 years, Koy Lilly of Auburn, two beloved daughters, Kathy (Greg) Gallinger, Lisa (Rick) Walsh, five grandchildren, Kristin (Ray) Quinones, Gregory (Kristen) Gallinger, Megan (Tom) Thurston, Kayla (Zack) Singer, Garrett Walsh, seven great-grandchildren, Aveyah and Gabe Quinones, Claire and Liv Gallinger, Asher and Vivian Thurston, Emerson Singer as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  In addition to her parents, Barbara was also predeceased by five siblings, Douglass Jett, Ernestine Kester, Carol Sue Bibber, Alyene Jett and Mary Jo Bragg.

  Calling hours are this Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm with a brief service to immediately follow at 6pm, all inside of Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to either the American Heart Assoc. or Juvenile Diabetes.
