AUBURN – Bonnie Ann Summerville, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, after a short illness and stay at Auburn Memorial Hospital where the doctors and nurses worked tirelessly.
Bonnie was born to Frederick, Sr. and Ina Connors in Auburn, NY. In her early years, Bonnie loved spending time with her friends and cousins, recounting many entertaining stories.
She is survived by her three children, Ronald Jr. (Linda), Raymond, and Missy (Roger); one adored granddaughter, Zoe; Her sister’s children, Patricia Rindge (Chet), Philip Rindge (Sharon), Beth Higgins (Robert) and Catherine Brooks (Robbye); three sisters-in-law Faith Pollock, Joy Watson; and Nancy Connors; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
She was predeceased by parents; her husband, Ronald "Slim" W. Summerville Sr; and siblings, Jeannette Rindge(sister); and Frederick (Skip) Connors(brother).
Bonnie worked at the Authur A. Gates Elementary School in Port Byron as a teacher’s reading aide when the kids were young. Later she built a thriving wedding photography business and became well known throughout the area. She had a special way of connecting with people, often finding shared ties through families she had worked with over the years.
Bonnie also enjoyed golf. She and Slim joined Highland’s golf league, building friendships on and off the course. They passed the love of golf onto their children and joined Cranebrook where Joe and Agnes would let them all play together as a fivesome.
Her greatest love was her granddaughter, Zoe, whom she cherished and delighted in spoiling. She enjoyed reading by the pool, welcoming friends for a swim, family cookouts and sharing stories. Her humor and gift for storytelling will be deeply missed.
Special thanks to those who helped Bonnie at her home the past months, Emily Behm, Barb Bellerdine, Tammy Bellerdine, Linda Conner, Brian Dahl and the entire Throop Fire Dept.
