Caroline Mary (Giroux) Blowers

Caroline M. (Giroux) Blowers, 94 of Skaneateles passed away Thursday June 5, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital with her loving family by her side.

  She was born daughter of the late Thomas and Beatrice Giroux in Jackman, Maine and grew up in Tupper Lake where she started a family. Upon moving to this area, Caroline continued her nursing career at SUNY Upstate University Hospital until retirement at sixty-nine years young. Caroline was a devout Catholic and enjoyed her time traveling with her church fellowship. Caroline loved nursing so much she returned to Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) in Syracuse until she permanently retired at the age of eighty after more than 55 years of service as a registered nurse. As a mother, Caroline instilled faith, strength, hard work and a passion for continuing education always remembering to take time for fun activities with her children. Caroline opened her home to anyone that needed a place to rest and her heart with a great meal as she loved to cook and bake. Her kindness and compassion was ever present as a skilled nurse, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed and forever held close in the hearts of those that loved her.

  She is survived by her six daughters, Saundra  Wickwire (Martin Dillon), Edna  Dayley and her husband Randy, Catherine Bohin, Evelyn Bohin, Joanne  Picciano (Gary Green), Janet  Brooks and her husband Peter, grandchildren, Winthrop, Dahlia, Darren, Erin, Haley, David, Zachary, Alexandra, Samuel, Solomon, Gerad, Chelsea, Olivia, Adam, Harrison, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents,

  Caroline was also predeceased by a son Lawrence Bohin, Aunt Alice Cote, sister Jane Galagher, brother Robert Giroux, and grandson Derrick Robertson. 

   A calling hour will be held Friday June 27, 2025, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, at Sacred Heart Church, Melrose Rd., Auburn with a mass of Christian burial to immediately follow.
