Cathy Elaine (Mayberry) Uebelman, age 65, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday November 15th, 2023, at her home in Waterloo NY.
Born in Lockport NY as the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Farrow) Mayberry and sister to many siblings, she has been a resident of the finger lakes and Cayuga County area for most of her life. Cathy previously worked at TRW and spent several years as a waitress at a few different local establishments.
Cathy had fire in her heart and soul and touched the lives of all she connected with. Her spunky spit-fire personality made her a one-of-a-kind woman. There's so many wonderful things to say about Cathy. She loved animals and had a green thumb loving any and all plants (bringing them back to life from wilting made her heart happy. She would smile ear when they bloomed). One of her absolute favorite past times was being in the kitchen cooking meals and tasty treats (banana bread being one of her specialties) for those she loved, family and friends. Years later she became the keeper of old family recipes and enjoyed teaching Helen's cooking secrets. She enjoyed and cherished the quality time she spent with everyone.
She is survived by her two sons: William (Brandi) Murray and Kenneth Murray. Grandchildren Brittany Murray, Rebecka (Austin) Delpapa, Tyler Murray, Douglas Murray, Dominic Murray, Kaydence Murray and Caydon Norcott. Great-grandchildren Wyatt Murray ,Hayliegh Widger, and Rosalie DelPapa , her beloved canine companion JoJo along with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was predeceased by a few of her siblings and her grandson Zander Murray.
Calling hours will be held on the morning of Tuesday November 21st, 2023, at Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee Street Auburn NY 13021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm with a brief service to immediately follow. Burial will follow services in Venice Center Cemetery.
