Charles Edwin Lawton Jr. , 83 of Auburn passed away peacefully, December 22,2024 at Auburn Community Hospital.
He was a life resident of Auburn, the son of the late Charlie and Lena (Jones) Lawton Sr. Charlie was a US Army veteran serving our country honorably and proudly , with two stints in Vietnam. He retired after more than 40 years of service for Crouse Hinds in Syracuse. Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing and an occasional PBR. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends but held closely in the hearts of those that meant so much to him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years , Donna ( Viggiano) Lawton, two children, Scott ‘Rock’ (Rachel) Lawton, Trisha ( P.J.) Bushallow, granddaughter Hailee Bushallow, stepgrandsons Luca and Owen, siblings, Nancy Panarisi, Pat Fuller, Karen (Jim) Quinn, Sharon Killian, William (Sue) Lawton, Charlene Phillips, Betty (James) Streeter, Terry (Lynette) Lawton, Laura Arms, Debbie (Alan) Pelc, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by two brothers Jeff and Craig Lawton.
Calling hours are this Sunday December 29th in the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., from 12-2 pm with services to immediately follow at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Louis Vasile.
