Cheryl L. (Van Orman) Canino

Cheryl L. (Van Orman) Canino, 77 of Scipio, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 5, 2025.

  She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Percy and Rose (Pilat) Van Orman and had been an area life resident. Cheryl graduated from Sherwood High School, Class of 1966. She retired from the Fox Auto Group after almost 30 years of automobile sales. She was most happy and cherished all the special times with her family and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

   She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard 'Dick' Canino, four children, Anne Leone, Christine (Jerry) Campbell, Debbie Canino (Chris Kowal), Bill Canino (Lauren Mailler), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister Janet (Frank) Vassallo as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  In addition to her parents, Cheryl was also predeceased by a grandson John Leone, a sister Linda Stevens and brother John Van Orman.

  There are no services at this time. A memorial celebration of Cheryl's life may be held at a later date and time that will be announced.
