Curtis Fizer

It is with deep and heavy sadness that Curtis Fizer, 77, of Syracuse, NY, went to be with the Lord after suffering complications related to multiple strokes on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at 9:33 pm. 

  Curtis went to Syracuse University with an honors scholarship at 16 years old in 1964 to take advanced courses while in high school. After he graduated, Curtis went to Boston to complete a training program for Stanley Steamer and came back to Syracuse, NY, to work for the Stanley Steamer company. He moved to Auburn in the winter of 2001. 

  Curtis is survived by his son Curtis Fizer Jr., daughters Crystal Fizer, Kylie Fizer, Shamika Fizer, extended family, and his companion, Cynthia Arruza (62), her two older sons, her son Emmanuel Arruza (30) and daughter Vanessa Arruza (31), who Curtis was an integral part of their childhood. 

  A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family and close friends at 2:00 pm on June 9th in the Pettigrass Funeral Home of Auburn, NY.
