.In Loving Memory of Daniel S. Driscoll
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel S. Driscoll, age 53, of Auburn, NY, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Born and raised in Auburn, Dan was the beloved son of the late Richard and Helene (Ryan) Driscoll. He attended the Auburn school system and proudly graduated from Auburn High School.
Dan was an apprentice with the Carpenters Union and the proud owner and operator of DSD Contracting, where he serviced the local community for over 20 yrs.
A lifelong resident of Auburn, Dan had a deep love for music. He enjoyed attending concerts and will be fondly remembered for taking his nephews to see one of his favorite bands, Donna the Buffalo. At home, he found joy in cooking—especially preparing his signature deep-dish pizza and macaroni and cheese. A true craftsman at heart, he poured his creativity into home restoration projects, always striving to make something beautiful and lasting.
Above all, Dan cherished his family. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He was also a devoted dog owner to his faithful companions, Diesel and Charlie.
Dan is survived by his five siblings:, Richard Driscoll and his wife, Sue, of Victor, NY., Melinda Waters and her husband, Barry, of Tallahassee, FL., Thomas Driscoll and his wife, Pam, of Auburn, NY., Margaret Driscoll and her wife, Frances, of Tallahassee, FL., Patrick Driscoll and his wife, Kerry, of Cincinnati, OH
He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together to honor his memory.
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.”
