It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our father, David L. Becker I, 62 on August 7, 2024. David was born on December 28, 1961, in Syracuse, NY, to John E. Becker Sr. and Barbara E. Walker (Becker). He was a graduate of Henninger High School, the class of 1980. David attended Onondaga Community College where he studied HVAC. He will always be remembered for the love and passion he had for his family, especially his children. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. David enjoyed gardening, fishing, the Adirondacks, music, Dale Earnhardt, automotive repair, and his dog, Jake. David was a dedicated employee for NYS as a painter. He was also a maintenance engineer at Hidden Valley Apartments, Sheraton Hotel, and most recently, The Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse NY.
David is survived by four daughters Jessica (Colby), Renee Zaragoza (Carlos), Chelsie (Shane), and Ashley Becker, ten grandchildren, the mother of his children, Valerie Daloia (Sue and Jude) a sister, Mary Becker, and a nephew Ian (April) Snyder. He also leaves behind his friend Joan Booth and many friends.
We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and will cherish our memories forever.
