Dorothy was also known to be a great cook, and she never had any fear when it came to speaking her mind.
Dorothy married the love of her life, John (Jack) Malone, in 2006, and they spent many years in Florida enjoying their time together on various outings with their beloved canine companion, Molly.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Jack Malone; sisters, Rose Sloan and Ellie Shanahan; her children, Alvin (Ellen) Penird, Lisa (Robert) Lutkins, Theresa (Doug) Penird, and David Penird; stepchildren, Jackie Malone and Stacey (Ed) Jordan; grandchildren, Amanda (Ashley), Haley, Kristina (Craig), Emily(R.C.), McKayla, Logan, Gracie, Olivia, Kyle, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Winston, Bella, and Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy’s sisters, Carol Vezzose, Jean Coleman, and Winnie Lupo, and brothers, James and Lloyd Delapp, preceded her in death.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Huntington Living Center for their tireless work, compassion, and kindness. Dorothy developed close relationships with many of you and we all appreciate the care and attention you provided her.
