Edward “Ed” Kirschner
Edward Kirschner, 84, passed peacefully on June 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 20, 1941, in Poland, and built a life with his family in Cayuga where he lived on his cherished farm.
Edward spent much of his working life at Evan’s Cosmetics, before later joining Patterson Farms, where his passion for the outdoors flourished. He was never one to sit still — whether hunting, camping with his wife and granddaughters, riding his tractor around the farm, or simply walking with his dogs, Edward found joy in nature and in the quiet rhythm of rural life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Wanda Dreker and Herman Kirschner; his beloved wife, Sue; his brother, Henry; and his sister, Sonia. He is survived by his brother Bruno (Bob) and sister Hadwick. Ed was a devoted father to Brian (Kelly) Kirschner and Eric (Rachel) Kirschner; proud Opa to Courtney (Kevin) Paulson, Miranda (Joe) Muscato and Garrett Marshall; and loving Opie to Kaylee, Cole, Joseph, and Cecilia.
He will be deeply missed by all as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember him fondly.
Private services will be held by Pettigrass Funeral Home to honor his memory.
