Edward ‘Ned’ Kunz

Edward A. ‘Ned’ Kunz, 63 of Auburn passed away Monday, August 11,2025 at Auburn Community Hospital.
  He was born and raised  in Iowa, the son of the late Donald and Donna ( Johnson) Kunz and resided in the Upstate New York area since 1992. He was a highly skilled mechanic , retiring from Penske Trucking and Leasing in Geneva. ‘Ned’ or ‘ Mushroom’ as he was affectionately known , enjoyed tinkering on his cars and motorcycles. He also loved cooking on his smoker for his family and friends. If you ever met Ed , it was an experience that would be hard to forget, a true ‘character’ in every sense of the word.
  He is survived by his children, Eman ( Tammy) Kunz, Jacob Kunz, Jessica ( Aaron) Kunz- Nash, Aurora Applebee, Matthew Kunz, Andrea Kunz, nine grandchildren, several siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved canine friend, Koda.
  In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a sister and brother.
  Calling hours are this Wednesday, August 20th in the Pettigrass Funeral Home, from 3-6 pm, with a service to immediately follow at the funeral home, 196 Genesee St.,Auburn
