Glenn M. Cicora Sr.

CAYUGA | Glenn Michael Cicora Sr., 73, of Cayuga, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Strong Memorial Hospital with family by his side.

He was a lifelong resident of the Auburn area, the son of the late Michael and Stella Cicora. Glenn was a general contractor and president of Cicora Construction Co.; as well as an entrepreneur in real estate.

His late wife, Gail Ann Cicora, predeceased him in 1996.

Glenn Sr. is survived by his loving children: daughter, Chrissy Cicora-Colson (Larry Colson), of Rochester, N.Y.; son, Glenn Cicora Jr. (Jordan Cicora), of Venice, Fla., and Michael Strecker, of Michigan; his brother, Michael “Skip” Cicora; two sisters, Roberta Cicora, and Barbara Hess; three grandchildren, Ava Cicora, Alexandria Curry, and Larry Colson Jr.; six great-grandchildren; his loving fiancée and business partner, Cathy Freyee, and his dearest and closest friends, Chad and Sharon Hayden, of Cayuga, N.Y.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, with a memorial service to immediately follow at 7 p.m. all at the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Aurelius Fire Department or the Cayuga Fire Department in Glenn Sr.’s memory.
