Gregory ‘Corky’ J. Taylor, 66 of Auburn passed away at Auburn Community Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Robert and Beatrice ‘Topsy’ Taylor and had resided in the Auburn area for most of his life. Greg served our country honorably and faithfully in the late 70’s and early eighties for the US. ‘Corky’ as he was affectionately known by his family and friends worked for many years at Leonardi’s, until he was injured on the job. Greg was an avid Miami Dolphins football fan and collector of many things. He also enjoyed watching his favorite shows MASH and Friends. Greg liked boating, attending concerts, and was in several dart and pool leagues over the years.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Theresa Taylor, children Courtney ,Gregory ,Alex , Anna, Brandon ,Andrea and their four sons , granddaughter Scarlett Raine, five grandsons, sisters Kathleen Figie ,Pamela Perry (Don), Kelly Chuff(Bob), Nicole Taylor, Brothers ,Francis Taylor, Randy Taylor and Jeffrey Taylor (Amy) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother Robert Taylor Jr.
Calling hours are this Friday, October 3rd from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with a service to immediately follow at 12:00 pm, all inside of Pettigrass Funeral Home,196 Genesee St., Auburn. Burial with full military honors, will follow in Sampson Veterans Cemetery in Romulus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the, Make A Wish Foundation.
