Harold Babbitt Jr. Obituary

Harold G. Babbitt Jr., of Montezuma,NY passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at The Commons on Saint Anthony.

  He was born in the family home in Aurelius,to the late Harold and Alice (Perkins) Babbitt Sr. Harold worked for several years at the former Alco Products in Auburn as a machine operator. He was a former member of the VFW Post in Montezuma for many years. Harry was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. He also liked to bowl, follow NASCAR and the Auburn Doubledays. Harold's most favorite times were watching and attending his grandchildren's events.

  He is survived by two children, daughter Brenda Babbitt-Skowron, son Harry (Julie) Babbitt III, grandchildren, John Smith, Shantel Hall, Amy Jo Wait, Josh Sayre, Danielle Skowron, Andrew Babbitt, Nicholas Skowron, Abbigale Babbitt, six great-grandchildren, Augustus, Miley, Finn, Harper, Lily Jo, Felix, a brother Alan (Donna) Babbitt, sister Beatrice as well as several nieces,nephews and cousins.

  In addition to his parents, Harold was also predeceased by his wife Margaret (Birdsall) Babbitt, a daughter Crystal Smith, and a brother Ray Babbitt.

  A graveside service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery.
