It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Jane Meldrum on March 21, 2026.
Jane was born on November 18, 1944, and was predeceased by her beloved son, John Beer.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Margaret Beer; her dear friend, Sally; and her niece, Mischa, who adored her. Jane also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will all miss her deeply.
She had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged. Whether through a warm smile, a kind word, or simply her presence. She brought comfort to those around her. She lived with a full heart and gave that love freely to her family and friends. Family meant everything to her, and she made sure the people she loved always knew it.
Jane found happiness in the little things—making crafts, reading a good book, baking for others, and spending time with animals she loved so much. She was thoughtful, caring, and the kind of person people felt lucky to know. She will be remembered not just for what she did, but for how she made people feel. She will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered. She never liked to end a conversation without saying, “I love you,” and those words will stay with everyone who knew her.
