JoAnn Elizabeth Gagliano

JoAnn E. (Bissi) Gagliano, 78, of 57 Parker Street, wife of Joseph A. Gagliano, died Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Auburn Community Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Auburn, NY where she lived most of her life.  She retired from O. Mustad & Sons after 23 years of employment.  She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph “Joe” Gagliano, her son Christopher (Sherry) Gagliano of Selinsgrove, PA, step-daughter Dawn Gagliano of New Hartford, NY, grandsons Trevor and Ian Gagliano of Hughesville, PA and step-grandchildren Brandon, Sarah and Evan Dziegel of New Hartford, NY.

She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Antoinette (Montone) Bissi, in-laws Giuseppe and Clara DeTerlizzi, brother John Bissi, and twin daughters Lisa Ann and Michelle Clarissa Gagliano.

Although she leaves behind a profound sense of loss, JoAnn’s memory will forever be treasured by her surviving family members, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

There will be no calling hours.  A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family.  As an avid cat lover, donations to the Cayuga County SPCA in her memory are appreciated
