John D. Golden

John D. Golden, 79 of Auburn passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 6,2026 at Auburn Community Hospital.

  He was born in Manhattan the son of the late John and Lucy (Netti) Golden and had been an area resident for most of his life. John retired from New Process Gear in Syracuse after more than 30 years of service and was a longtime member of the UAW Local 624. He was an avid  and die hard New York Yankees and New York Jets sports enthusiast.  John will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to get to  know this special man.

  He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 51 years, Elaine ( Capace) Golden, very special cousins, Michael (Carol) Sigona, Lawrence (Julie) Felitto, Gail (Joseph) Scarafile, Anthony Felitto, Joseph (Donna) Felitto, close friends Gary Coon and Giacomo Perrone as well as several other relatives and friends.

  Calling hours are this Thursday, May 14th from 11-1 pm in Pettigrass Funeral Home, with services to immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.
