John Vitagliano,72 of Auburn passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Auburn Community Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Auburn, the son of the late Peter and Mary Rose (Manzone) Vitagliano. John was employed for over 38 years at Automatic Rolls. John enjoyed fixing and tinkering on fans for many years. He also liked hunting for cans and bottles. John was an avid coin collector and enjoyed anything relating to sci-fi. He would be the first one to tell you, that is was probably done by the aliens.
He is survived by his favorite and beloved sister-in-law Annette Vitagliano, his niece and nephews that were like his children, Tricia Vitagliano, Eddie J. (Brenda) Pickard St., Joseph ( Teena) Pickard, great nieces and great nephews Edward J. Pickard Jr., Courtney LaFleur, Katelyn Lusk, Tyler ‘ Pickles’ Pickard, Gracie, twins Jacob and Jared, Annie.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by two sisters ,Patricia Vitagliano, Joan Pickard, brother Paul, and niece Kristina Haviland.
A calling hour will be held this Friday Dec. 27th from 10:30 am until 11:45 am with his Mass of Christian burial to immediately follow at 12:00 pm, all inside of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial is in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
