Joseph Connors Obituary

Joseph C. Connors, of Sennett passed away November 27,2023 at Auburn Community Hospital with his wife Kim and daughter Breannah Rose by his side.

  He was born in Auburn, New York the son of the late, Clarence and Lillian (Stevens) Connors and had been a area resident all of his life. Joe was the proud owner of Hurricane Hill Farm which he built the entire facility from the ground up.  He was well known across the United States for his World Champion Quarter horses and was even flown to Israel for a month to train and teach.  Joe not only trained multiple world champion horse and riders but he himself was a National Reining Horse Association Futurity finalist, All American Quarter Horse Congress Champion, and AQHA World Show Champion, winning some of the most prestigious awards in the horse industry. He will be sadly missed by his Equine and canine clients with his gift of healing hands, also known as 'Body Works'. Joe helped 1000's of animals feel their best through the years, bringing them back to pristine shape. Wherever Joe went, he brought joy with his beautiful smile, great conversation and endless stories.

  He is survived by his loving wife, Kim ( DelVecchio) Connors, a daughter Breannah Rose Connors, three siblings, Tom (Connie) Connors, Michael (Nancy) Connors , Diane Diephouse (Paul), mother-in-law Barbara DelVecchio and father-in-law John DelVecchio, several nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved feline companion Nala and canine friend Stella.

  Joe always spoke about seeing all his animals and his beloved 'Alfred' at the rainbow bridge someday. We know they were all there to greet him!!

  In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by a sister Catherine Cushing, and brother John and his wife Carol Connors.

  Services will be private.

  A celebration of Joe’s life will be celebrated at a later date and time that will be announced.
