Joseph A. Nobile

Joseph A. Nobile, 93 of Auburn, NY passed away peacefully, December 24, 2023, at the Finger Lakes Center for Living, surrounded by his loving family.

  Joseph was born in Auburn, NY on April 17, 1930, to Ralph and Concetta (Locastro) Nobile. Prior to his retirement, Joseph worked for the Auburn (Button) Plastics Shop and also as a security guard for General Electric, Fingerlakes Mall and Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center.

  He met and befriended many people through his employment and among his trips to our local casino's.  Joe will be remembered for his deep love of his family, faith, his sense of humor and his generosity for those in need.

  He is survived by his brother Benjamin J. Nobile, loving daughters Janice (Joseph) Condes, Patrecia (Scot) Bannister, three grandchildren, Donald (Heather) Lancett, Allison Roy and partner Daniel Porter, Keith Roy and partner Tina Hunt, two great-granddaughters Katie and Emma Lancett, a soon to be great grandson and several nephews.

   In addition to his parents, Joe was also predeceased by sisters, Angeline (Frank) Bellerdine, Rosalie (Vincent) Contrera, Marian Nobile, brother Igatius 'Iggy' Nobile, and the love of his life, Isabel "Izzie' Kern.

  Calling hours are this Thursday, December 28th from 4 to 6 pm in the Pettigrass Funeral Home. Funeral services are Friday, December 29th at 11:00 am in the funeral home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
