Katherine L. (Johnson) MacDavitt, 74 passed away unexpectedly at her home Christmas Eve, December 24,2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of the late Winslow and Joan ‘Joey’ (Clark) Johnson and had resided in multiple states before settling in the Auburn area. ‘Kathy’ as she was affectionately known by her family and friend and worked mostly for the Syracuse Developmental Center, group homes as an aide. She was a member of Sts Peter & John Episcopal Church. Above everything, Kathy cherished the many special times spent with her family, especially her beloved grandson, James IV.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 45 years, Brian MacDavitt, two children, daughter Nicole (James III) Taylor, son Christopher MacDavitt, grandson James Taylor IV, two siblings, sister Judy (Buddy) Carroll, brother Winslow ‘Pierce’ (Linda) Johnson, brother-in-law Alan (Susan) MacDavitt, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved feline friend ‘Snickers’.
In addition to her parents, she was also a predeceased, by a sister, Susan Johnson.
Calling hours are this Monday, December 30th from 4 to 7 in the Pettigrass funeral home 196 Genesee St. Funeral services for Kathy are Tuesday, December 31st at 10 AM in Saint Peter and John's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow and Lakeview Cemetery in Fleming.
