Kimberly A. (Shaw) Carder, 68 of Auburn passed away Thursday , April 11,2024 .
She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Star and Mary Rose ( Ruta) Shaw and had resided in the area for most of her life. Kim graduated from Mt. Carmel High School, Class of 1973 and received her associate degree from Auburn Community College. She previously worked for several years at Head Start and the Gavras Center. Kim was an avid animal enthusiast, especially loving her canine companions over the years. She also loved to read and write poetry but above everything, loved to spend time and spoil her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her loving twin daughters, Amanda (Joseph) Crawford, Amy (James) Lewis, five beloved grandchildren, Everett and Eloise Crawford, Sawyer, Rosalie, and Leo Lewis, as well as several other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by a sister Starlett Proul.
A calling hour will be held this Wednesday from 5-6:30 pm in the Pettigrass Funeral Home, with a service to immediately follow at the funeral home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.
Contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
