Larry K. Smith

Larry K. Smith, 84 of Rochester passed away January 8,2026 at Auburn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

 Larry was born in Rochester, the son of the late Albert and Eleanor (Swartzlander) Smith. He retired from Shuron Textron after many years of service. Upon retirement, he managed a hotel in North Carolina where he enjoyed fishing and beachcombing. Throughout his life Larry enjoyed reading, helping friends, motorcycling, scuba diving and visiting parks near home.

 He is survived by two sons , Christopher (Christine) Smith, Timothy (Stephanie) Smith, five grandchildren, Chelsea, Caitlyn, Sarah, Jennalee and Steven Smith, two siblings, Jacqueline (Michael) Kaiser and Christopher (Kathy) Smith, the mother of his children, Sherry Smith, niece Amy Kaiser and nephew Eric Smith as well as his longtime friend for over 50 years, Leslie Ranaus.

 In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by three brothers, Albert Jr., Lewis, and Gregory Smith.

 The family will hold a private service and burial
