Leon W. Showens

Leon W. Showens, 79 of Weedsport, NY passed away peacefully July 24,2026 at The Commons on Saint Anthony.

He was born in Jordan, NY the son of the late Wesley and Frances Showens and had been an area life resident. Leon worked for many years for Jordan Wire.

He was an avid New York Yankees and Cleveland Browns sports fan. Leon cherished the times spent with his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Doris (Hosford) Showens, four children, Bobbie Jo (Bobbie Jean) Showens, Robin (Brandon) Perkins, Kristy Showens (Brooks Bernhardt), Matthew Showens, four grandchildren, Mykel, Donovan, Damien, Leila, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Leon was also predeceased by all of siblings, four sisters, Nancy, Frances, Sandra, Dawn and five brothers Harvey, Elmer, Howard, Daniel and Robert.

Calling hours are this Thursday, July 30th from 5-7 pm in Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St. Auburn.
