Lorie J. Dickes, 61 of Port Byron, passed away Wednesday, September 3,2025 at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Gerald and Vivian (Varney) Worrell and had resided most of her life in the Central New York area. Lorie retired from Auburn Correctional Facility after more than 38 years of service. She was an avid cat lover and enjoyed an occasional trip to one of our local casinos. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her best friend and longtime partner of more than 29 years , Carl Townsend of Port Byron, two sons, Cory Dickes, Christian Macedo, three step-children, Angela Simmons, Christina Smith, Kelly Townsend , a grandson David Macedo, as well as several other relatives and friends.
