Louis Trama, 70 of Auburn passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, with his loving wife by his side.
He was born in Patterson, NJ the son of George and Jennie (Carbonaro) Trama and had resided most of his life in the Auburn area. Lou retired from Auburn Correctional Facility after many years of service. He was an avid New York Mets baseball fan and loved any team that beat the Yankees. He also enjoyed the many trips to the YMCA and loved listening to music, especially on Sirus radio and his favorite band, Chicago. Lou stayed up with the current events, with help from the radio and his favorites, Brother Weas and Howard Stern. Lou cherished all the special times with the love of his life, Terry who kept him motivated and eager to stay moving and active.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Terry Trama of Auburn, as well as several special nieces, nephews, especially nephew Joseph (Tracy) Nolan Jr.,nephew Christopher (Tammy) Nolan, niece Kathleen Nolan, niece Angela Nolan (Jamison) Warrick, great-nieces, Whitney Warrick, Courtney Warrick, Gabrielle Nolan and many wonderful cousins.
In addition to his parents, Lou was also predeceased by brother-in-law Joseph Nolan Sr. and sister-in-law Suzanne Nolan.
A very special thank you to Dave Townsend, who has been a very good friend to Lou.
Calling hours for Lou are this Saturday, July 6th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, with his services to immediately follow, all inside of the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St.,Auburn.
