Lucille Cacciotti Obituary

Lucille V. (Manuelli) Cacciotti, 96 of Auburn died a Queen’s death , October 16,2024 at Auburn Community Hospital.  

  She was born in Susquehanna, PA the daughter of the late Sabatino and Maria (Valentino) Manuelli. She attended Julia Richmond High School and City College of New York. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Lucy previously worked for the Dept. of Motor Vehicles, was a case examiner for the Dept. of Social Services and co-owner of the former,  fashion boutique, My Fair Lady in Auburn. Lucy’s  love of fashion-came from working at Saks 5th Avenue. Nothing made Lucy happier then helping woman look and feel their best. Lucy worked at Wegmans for many years where she enthusiastically passed out food samples to customers. 

  Lucy was an active resident at The Edward T. Boyle Center for 21 years.  She served as tenant representative, taught a writing class, sang with the Silver Songbirds and was involved in numerous activities.  She was a prolific writer, poet, and member of the Toastmasters Club.  Lucy will be remembered for her vivacious, fun loving nature, and her positive attitude.  She deeply touched the lives of countless people.  Her faith was unshakeable.  If there was a party or function, she was the ‘Life’ of that  party.  She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and loved her trips to the casino.   Lucy was truly a ’ Queen of Hearts’.  Grandma Lucy will lovingly be remembered by her grandchildren for singing Happy Birthday and You Are my Sunshine.  Everyone LOVED Lucy!

  She is survived by her three loving children, Nancy ( Timothy) Chadwick, Edward (Lynn) Cacciotti, Diane ( Michael) McKeon, eight grandchildren, Michael ( Heather) Chadwick, Jennifer ( Ken) Fasce, David (Amanda) Cacciotti, Michael (Ryann) Cacciotti, Jon  (Megan) Cacciotti, Brian (Ashley) McKeon, Maggie (Matthew) Truax, Katy (Brian) Green, 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, one niece and several nephews.

  In addition to her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her loving and adoring husband, Joseph and brother Anthony Manuelli.

  Calling hours are in Sacred Heart Church, Saturday, November 23,2024  , from 10:00 am until 11:45 am, with her Mass of Christian burial to follow at noon , 90 Melrose Rd., Auburn, NY 13021.
