Magdalene 'Maggie' E. Race

Magdalene ‘Maggie’ E. Race, 41 of Auburn and Trumansburg passed away February 27,2025 at the Medical Center in Ithaca, surrounded by her loving family.
 She was born in Syracuse, NY to Timothy Race and Nancy Andre and resided most of her life in Auburn. Maggie as she was affectionately known, was a very beautiful woman with a warming, shining smile that could easily be seen from across the room.  Her style and grace were always on point as she thoroughly enjoyed shopping, especially Vera Bradley.  Maggie also loved a trip to Starbucks with her family and friends.

 In addition to her parents, Maggie is also survived by aunt Peggy (James) Vivenzio uncle William (Christine) Andre, uncle Michael Jupin, aunt Francine Race, many cousins and several very close friends that she loved and loved her back dearly, especially lifelong friend, Kim Duby and good friend Pam Downy. She also had many good friends that she met in her group home in Trumansburg New York that we’re very special to her.

 She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents William and Gladys Andre, paternal grandparents Charles and Florence Race as well as   uncle Mark Andre, aunt Gloria Jupin and uncle Mark Race.

Private calling hours will be held Tuesday at the convenience of the family in the Pettigrass Funeral Home.
