Obituary

Marianne (Usowski) Cecchini, 68 of Auburn passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with Cancer, Saturday, November 28,2020 in the comfort of her home, with her loving family and beloved feline friend Natasha at her side.
She was a lifelong resident of Auburn, the daughter of the late Walter ‘ Jim’ and Ann Tanchak Usowski. Marianne was a Mt. Carmel High School graduate, class of 1970. She worked at various facilities as a L.P.N. , retiring after many years at ACH and  Central New York Developmental Services Offices.

  Marianne loved watching and purchasing items on QVC and enjoyed collecting dolls . Besides the love she had for her family,  she was an avid cat lover, having helped many strays over the years. Marianne would like to thank the Father for the opportunity to live a long life and find salvation through his son to be able to  share in the  many memories with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving  husband of 30 years, August ‘Sonny’ Cecchini of Auburn, a son Adam ( Emily) Smith of Syracuse, a daughter Cristi Cecchini and Matt Collier of Auburn, a granddaughter Alice Everly Smith, sister Georgia ( Dan) Sullivan of Cortland, three step- children Marijean (Rob) Green, Theresa Cecchini, Mark Cecchini , several nieces,nephews,cousins,  and a very special friend Stacey ( Roy) Lewis as well as her beloved feline friends, especially  her fur baby Natasha .
In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by a brother David Usowski.
 A private memorial celebration of her life will be celebrated on December 13th at The Auburn Church Of Nazarene at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, any contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital,  SPCA, Lollipop Farms,  or the Christmas Elf program.
