Melinda Myers Obituary

 

Melinda passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on June 15, 2024.

  She was born in Auburn, NY to Francis Myers and Harold Wilson on July 25th, 1953. She was an East High School graduate. She earned an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts & Science and Humanities & Social Service in 1995. Melinda worked as a legal secretary for many years as well as at Welch Allyn. 

  Melinda will be remembered for always standing for what she believed in and her love for books and animals, especially dogs and owls. She loved reading and read a countless number of books in her life. Her favorite authors were Stephen King and Dean Koontz. She also loved watching her shows/movies, some of her favorites being Supernatural, the Marvel Movies and Harry Potter.

  She is reunited with her parents, her sisters Elaine and Debbie, and her true companions, her dogs Tangueray and Roscoe. 

  She is survived by her 2 sons, Mark (Jennifer) Myers and Kwanza (Beth) Humphrey; grandchildren Marcus, Kiarah, Natalie, Danielle and Jonas; great-grandson Omar, sister Cindy, brothers George and Danny; her Aunt Linda and Uncle Al; nieces Victoria, Sasha, Latitia, Marcelle, Sarah and Tiffany; nephews Raymond and Ryan and several great nieces and nephews. 

  Melinda lived by her own rules and did things her way until the very end. She will be eternally missed by those who loved her dearly.

  As Melinda wished, there will be no public services.
