Michael Mickey’ Costello

Michael ‘Mickey’ Costello, 73 from Auburn and Scipio Center, passed away peacefully Friday evening, May 30,2025.
  ‘Mickey’ as he was affectionately known lived life to its fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. Above everything, he cherished the times spent with his grandchildren. Mickey was a lifetime member of the Scipio Volunteer Fire Department, since 1978. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. 
   He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Anne (Wade) Costello, three children, Michael (Brenda) Costello, Mathew (Amanda) Costello, Kristi (David) Marcellus, seven grandchildren, Michael Costello, Sarah Costello, Jeff Thurston, Max Costello, Henry Costello, Liam Marcellus and Maeve Marcellus, a brother Bill Costello (Sarah), two sisters, Linda (Ed) LaDouce, Paula Jones as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   He was predeceased by his parents, William and Pauline (Callea) Costello.
   A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at a future date and time that will be announced.
   Donations may be made in His memory to the Scipio Fire Department or the Alzheimer’s Association.
