Michael E. Morrell, 64 of Auburn passed away Monday evening, January 13, 2025 at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
He was born in Fulton, NY the son of the late George and Oneita (Billings) Morrell and had resided most of his life in the Auburn area. Mike retired from Upstate Hospital after more than 28 years of service. He loved watching and attending many different sporting events, including his beloved Kansas City Chiefs football team. Mike cherished his family and enjoyed following his granddaughters events. He will be sadly missed and but held closely in their hearts forever.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Deborah (Picarro), beloved daughter Lesley (David) Baker, six granddaughters, Alexa, Analia, Gianna, Elianna, Amelia, Nina, two siblings , Larry (Kathy) Morrell, Judy (Jose) Rios, four sisters-in-law, Donna Lupo, Joan (Ross) Walters, Joanne Picarro, Carol Morrell as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also a predeceased by a sister Jeaninne, two brothers, William and James Morrell, mother and father-in-law, Michael and Camille Picarro, and brother-in-law Richard Picarro.
Calling hours are this Monday, January 20th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., with services to immediately follow.
