Mildred Chick Obituary

AUBURN | Mildred Irene Chick, 80, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

She was a lifelong resident of Auburn, the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Vitagliano Morgan. “Millie,” as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was one of the kindest, sweetest people you would ever want to meet. She was always there to help in any way possible, a friend to everyone. Millie loved animals, her friends at the Sicz Club, and especially enjoyed watching every episode she could of The Big Bang Theory. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her son, Edward ( Penny) Chick; daughter, Roxanne Woods, all of Auburn; three granddaughters, Michelle, Kimberly, and Tabitha; several great-grandchildren; longtime friend and former spouse, John Chick; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her “best” feline friend, Miss Kitty.

In addition to her parents, Millie was predeceased by a daughter, Tracy; granddaughter, Sarina; as well as several siblings.

As were her wishes, Millie has unselfishly decided to donate herself to medical research to help further the lives of others. So there are no calling hours or services at this time.

Due to her love of animals, the family asks that any contributions be made in her memory to the S.P.C.A., 41 York St., Auburn, NY 13021.
