Milton Daniels Jr., 67, of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully at home on December 14th, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Milton was born on May 19th, 1958 in Auburn NY, to Milton Daniels Sr. and Geraldine Copes-Daniels.
Milton attended Auburn High School, and graduated from a Class A training school and obtained his CDL license. In his younger years, he worked on an oil rig for a short time in Texas and also traveled with the Sofo Amusement Company with their carnival. He worked as an over the road Truck Driver taking him all over the US from Maine to Burbank, CA down to Laredo, TX. He worked for several companies including Lawson Trucking, Bay and Bay, Leonard’s Express, Hoosier Tradewinds Trucking, Cowan Systems, Maines Paper, Lineage Logistics, and his own company, MDJ Trucking for 44 years, retiring in 2021.
Milton was known for his humor, his sacrifice and was always willing to give a helping hand. He loved to fish and attend cookouts, but most importantly, he loved his family.
He is survived by his loving children: Terry Daniels of Auburn, NY, Shelon Lazelle of Fort Worth, TX, Jeanna (Tim) Daniels-VanDuyne of Clyde, NY, Kiera Daniels of Rochester, NY, Kurt Brooks of Rochester, NY, and Kraig (Tamara) Crawford of Panama City, Florida; 30 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Leslie Walker of Auburn, NY, Muriel Daniels of Rochester, NY, Mildred Hall of Rochester, NY, Rita Daniels of Powder Springs, GA, Geraldine (William) Howard of Rochester, NY, Betty (Howard) Thompson of Syracuse, NY, Lee Daniels of Rochester, NY, Lenora Swift of Syracuse NY, and Mavise (Donald) Daniels-Redden of Rochester,NY.
He was predeceased by his parents, Milton Daniels Sr. and Geraldine Copes-Daniels, Great Great Grand grandniece of Harriet Tubman, and brother-in-law, Sedell Hall.
A Memorial Service will be held for immediate family and friends.
