Nancy A. (Gebczyk) Tassone, 68 of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly, December 31, 2024.
Nancy was born and raised in Auburn, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Stemkowski) Gebczyk.
Nancy was a loving mother, stepmother, sister, aunt, and wife. She co-owned the Westside Bakery with her husband in their early years together, and later worked at Rite Aid, Save A Lot, Walmart, Wegmans, and Dunn & Mcarthy. She loved all her customers, always finding a way to help everyone--though she, herself, had little--and her laugh was contagious. Nancy never complained and never spoke of any regrets. Her favorite things were chocolate, playing with her granddaughter Josey, solitary on her phone, and playing fetch with her dog. She enjoyed her daily dose of the soap opera, Days of Our Lives. She was looking forward to a lobster dinner with her family.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Jessica Tassone (partner Jason Frizzell), stepchildren, Brandi Tassone, Tori (Richard) Rowland, Vincent Tassone Jr., Holli Tassone, eight grandchildren, three siblings, Michael Gebczyk, Suzanne Wade, Robert (Deborah) Gebczyk, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At the time of Nancy's passing, her husband and their beloved dog, Dexter, passed as well. Nancy was predeceased in death by her parents, a son, William Tassone, her brother Joseph Gebczyk, sister-in-law Patsy Gebczyk, and brother-in-law Fran.
